PWS™ is the application of various soil and plant sciences to turf management and plant health; including irrigation and the use of herbicides, pesticides and fertilisers.
The surfaces that we create are derived from a combination of the plants we work with, the quality and quantity of water received, and the soil type and structure. These three factors; the plant, water, and soil, are formed of living and non-living materials that interact to form a changing set of processes that, given the correct measurement and interpretation, can be carefully controlled to form precisely the surface we aim to achieve.
PWS™ provides access to a wealth of comprehensive analyses that were previously not available or free from bias. The samples collected are analysed independently reinforcing the veracity of the system. The interpretive reports communicate the results in an easy to use and comprehensive way that can be delivered in a variety of formats that places control back into the hands of the turf manager. The regular flow of information enables the turf manager to build confidence in the system and the expertise that lies behind it. SOIL TESTS AVAILABLE: BASIC
The basic analysis is a simple soil analysis incorporating the most important elements required for a healthy soil; pH, Phosphate (P), Potassium (K) and Magnesium (Mg).

TEXTURAL SIZE DISTRIBUTION (PSD)
Textural size distribution (PSD) - utilising sieves and sedimentation provides the most accurate, tried and tested way of providing data that can be used to determine drainage characteristics.
COMPREHENSIVE/ BROAD SPECTRUM
The comprehensive analysis looks at specific levels of macro and micronutrients available to the plant: Phosphate (P), Potassium (K), Magnesium (Mg), Calcium (Ca), Sulphur (S), Manganese (Mn), Copper (Cu), Iron (Fe), Zinc (Zn), Molybdenum (Mo), Boron (B), Sodium (Na), pH, soil texture classification and Cation Exchange Capacity.
FULL CATION EXCHANGE CAPACITY (CEC)
A full CEC and exchangeable cations analysis is a different analysis to the single figure that is available on most industry analyses: it incorporates significantly more detail including the exchangeable anions. It is a full chemical extracting method, compared to a calculated method undertaken generally.

The water analysis reports on conductivity, plus values for dissolved Ammonium (NH4

PLANT TISSUE
A plant tissue analysis is usually used as a diagnostic tool for future correction of nutrient problems; plant tissue analysis from young plants may allow a corrective fertiliser application that same season. This analysis will provide values for the following elements: Nitrogen (N), Phosphate (P), Potassium (K), Sodium (Na), Calcium (Ca), Magnesium (Mg), Manganese (Mn), Iron (Fe), Copper (Cu), Zinc (Zn), Boron (Bo), Sulphur (S) and a dry matter value.
