TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT

AGRONOMY TOOLS Standard Soil Sampler 1”

A high quality small core sampler ideal for general purpose work. Features a large tine window for quick and easy appraisal of soil stratas near the surface.

Sample size: 2.5 cm x 33 cm Soil Profile Sampler

A robust shovel type sampler, slightly tapered to give a clean cut with minimal disturbance. The blade is easily removed to allow examination of the profile. The plug can be replaced with minimal surface disturbance.

Depth: 19.4 cm (7.9”) Width: 11 cm (4.5”). Square Turf Doctor

The Turf Doctor enables repaired turf areas to be played on straight away, due to the deep extraction taken. Each sod is cut exactly square and fits quickly and neatly into every exchange hole. A complete repair can be made with no gaps left between the turf. Removes 23 cm (9”) pyramid shape squares.

Turfmaster

The original hole cutter, and still a favourite for many greenkeepers. Compact, light and easy to use, supplied complete with standard cutting blades.

Soil Compaction Tester

Compaction causes serious problems on many soils resulting in problems for turf managers. Our Soil Compaction Tester can help determine the severity of compaction, helping pinpoint problem areas such as goalmouths and excessively dry or wet patches. Features 24” stainless steel rod and easy to read colour coded dial measuring in PSI (pounds per square inch).

Railmaster

The Railmaster cuts a perfect 108 mm (4.25”) diameter hole in almost all ground types. The solid one-piece frame construction keeps all moving parts accurate and it includes a mid-height carry handle and extra bracing support to reduce flexing. There are bearing guide rails on both the blades and the frame which slide effortlessly against each other, helping to keep parallel blade travel when cutting holes - which avoids "crowning". Black Diamond toughened steel blades are guaranteed to be at least four times stronger than any previous blades.

Clegg Hammer for Golf Courses

The CIST/883 Golf Course Tester designed and manufactured to provide an easy and straightforward means for measuring the variations in strength on fairways and for helping determine the uniformity of an area. The equipment consists of a two 0.5 kg hammer probes that operate independently within a vertical guide tube. The probe falls through the guide tube when released and strikes the surface under test, decelerating at a rate determined by the stiffness of the golf course surface within the region of impact.
