Ending on a “high” our final 3rd Sunday Running on 15th October was really good having

the fourth highest attendance of the season. With very favourable weather too for the time of year, 90 admissions with 23 children were recorded and a total of almost £550 taken. The amounts indicated for all our runnings are always the gross figure from which running costs etc., have to be deducted. A trouble free afternoon with everyone including staff having smiling faces which can’t be bad. East Coast Truckers (current nominated charity) reported they had raised £348 from their stall having been present throughout the season. The end of season meeting after the running was chaired by Peter Bower and was in the same form as previous years. Members formed into groups to discuss good and bad points from the year after which items were summarised to be followed up as necessary in due course. Running dates and events for 2018 were outlined, the third Sunday runnings from April to October inclusive with Easter Mon 2nd and the Santa Special on Sun 16th
