HORNING COMMUNITY PRIMARY SCHOOL - NOVEMBER 2017 At the beginning of November Y6 children took part in the crucial crew training, a national scheme provided locally by Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service which aims to provide children with the means to increase their own and others safety. Crucial Crew has 4 broad aims: To encourage responsible/effective action in children Sensitise children to emergency and/or dangerous situations Develop social awareness and care for the social environment and others, and Raise awareness of the consequences of offending behaviour Our children performed well at the Cluster Football Tournament and although they didn’t get placed they all enjoyed the experience. Later this term we will be taking part in the Cluster Cross Country for the first time and after some extensive training the children are well prepared for the event. The school café continues to run half termly on Tuesdays 10-11.30am in Horning Village Hall: 21 November, 23 January 2018, 20 March, 22 May and 10 July – we look forward to seeing friends old and new. We are grateful to the Horning Boat Show for their continued support of this enterprise by covering transport costs. We will be holding our Christingle Service at St Benedicts Church on Wednesday 13 December at 10.30am, all welcome to join us.
