looked back since. I have thoroughly enjoyed my first year at Sibford. There is such an inviting atmosphere, trust in your professional judgement within the classroom and flexibility with the curriculum. I am looking forward to what the future holds. When I’m not in the classroom, you can find me on a hockey pitch (most weekends), walking my lurcher (on the Cornish coastlines during the holidays), tinkering away with various craft activities, singing in my local choir, cooking or covered in dust, paint or mud with the continued renovation of my house and garden!

Jane Harper Teaching Assistant My

background is in Veterinary nursing where I enjoyed surgical and wildlife nursing as well as nurse clinics, especially puppy parties. I taught animal welfare and veterinary nursing at Warwickshire college for 15 years before taking time out to look after my children … they are now at Sibford in Years 5 and 2. I enjoy the atmosphere here, everyone is accepted and differences are celebrated. It is a relaxed, nurturing and inspiring environment. In my spare time, I enjoy walking with the family and the dog. I love gardening and am very slowly turning part of our garden from a building site into a vegetable garden.

Payne Facilities Manager Before joining Sibford I spent 18 months at

the Grange School in Banbury and found working in an educational environment very interesting and rewarding with a new set of challenges. Prior to this, I spent 25 years in a sporting environment as Facilities Manager at Silverstone motor racing circuit and Stadium Manager at Northampton Rugby Football Club. I love the friendly atmosphere and the beautiful surroundings at Sibford, not forgetting the fantastic food at lunchtimes! Outside of work, I like to continue my 50-year love affair with Fulham Football Club and watch the team as much as possible with my two daughters … and hopefully my grandson in the near future. I also enjoy walking, reading and travel.

Harriet Preedy Art Technician I have a BA Honours in Printed Textiles from Birmingham City University. Before having children, I used to work at Oxfam. I have three-year-old twin boys and a little girl who started school last September. I enjoy being a part of the community here at Sibford. I feel there is a real focus on each person as an individual. There are a lot of welcoming and committed people here which makes it a lovely place to work. It has also been very exciting to be involved with setting up the new printing studio in the Art

Department. When I’m not working or looking after my children. I enjoy spending time with friends, life drawing classes, painting and have recently taken up some volunteer work for Crisis.

Katy Stotesbury Year 5 Class Teacher I was born and raised in Staffordshire. After

completing my degree in London, I worked in Edinburgh for several years before meeting my husband and getting married. Following a fantastic opportunity to travel around the world for seven months and a year working in Porto, we have settled in the glorious Gloucestershire countryside with our two young children. What do I enjoy about Sibford School? Two things spring immediately to mind. Firstly, the supportive and friendly staff – I was made to feel part of the Sibford family from day one. Secondly, it is the children … their energy and joie de vivre is infectious. As well as this, I love the fact that one day you are dressed as a Golden Snitch, another you are using a trundle wheel to measure the length of the Bayeaux Tapestry on the playground and the next you are making potage round a fire in Forest School! When not working I spend time with my husband and children at our allotment, going for walks and playing football/ rugby/tag/running races in the garden! I also enjoy sport and play competitive hockey and cricket for local teams.

Other new staff over the past year include Michael Whitley (minibus driver and Jake Marshall Hopkins (lifeguard).
