One man’s rubbish...
At the various local ‘Win on Waste’ sessions, charity ‘Ideas2Action’ collects the items on behalf of other good causes and distributes them.
For example, milk bottle tops go to a company who granulate them; the plastic granules are made into items such as outdoor play equipment. Tassimo discs, biscuit wrappers, air freshener packaging, disinfectant wipe packets, trigger heads, Garnier beauty containers, biro and washing up liquid tops are sent to a company who separate out the different plastics and make them into new plastic lumber for companies to purchase and make into new items, such as watering cans. Deodorant cans are used to make community gym equipment.

Tassimo or similar coffee pods Jigsaw puzzles (with missing pieces) Biscuit packets
Aerosol deodorant bottles Cleaning wipe packets
Broken/empty biros and felt tip pens Tippex bottles Part used makeup
Bring them to the drop off sessions on Saturday 7th October & 4th November from 10-11am at Broadstone Library
