Broadstone Community Speed Watch has been operating as an independent Watch since 29th April 2017, and some of you may be wondering what we have been up to since our re-launch.
Here are a few statistics that may be of interest...
Since the 8th May, and up to the 28th August 2017, your Broadstone Community Speed Watch has: • Mounted 39 Community Speed Watch operations • Monitored 10,332 vehicles
• Observed and recorded 250 vehicles being driven at speeds in excess of that posted on our local roads in and around Broadstone.
Highest vehicle speeds recorded to date are: • Car: 49 mph (30 mph road) • Motorcycle: 55 mph (40 mph road) The roads being monitored are:
Dunyeats Road, Higher Blandford Road, Lower Blandford Road, Springdale Road, West Way, Roman Road, Pinesprings Drive, Clarendon Road and Lancaster Drive.
