Welcome to the October issue

The Broadstone Link received this message this month. It is always lovely to hear of Good Samaritans in Broadstone:

“My wife and I would like to thank the three ladies who came to the aid of my wife when she collapsed in Story Lane car park on 24th August. I am pleased to say that she is now progressing well.”

Congratulations to Cuddles Day Nurseries for their ‘outstanding’ Ofsted awards (pg5) and, with children in mind, Councillor Newell describes how and why the play areas in Broadstone and Springdale Recreation Grounds are receiving a make-over on page 12. I know that both stories will be great news to many local parents.

The Broadstone Chamber of Trade & Commerce networking event was a great success in September (pg10). If you are a local business, do pop along to their October event – and enter a team in their Quiz Night this month too (pg75) in aid of the Christmas Lights.

The Broadstone Fireworks Display is another lovely community event at the end of October (pg75) and they have plans to make it bigger and better! This time of year can of course be tricky for pet owners, so do see the advice from Hillside Vets on page 21.

Welcome to new advertisers United Plumbing (pg19), TrainSmartTri (pg46) and Body Balance Dance Classes for 50+ (pg71) this month. Our magazines are as popular as ever, so if you would like to advertise in Broadstone, Corfe Mullen or Upton, please get in touch!

Until next time, Karen Next Copy Deadline: 11th October for the November issue In this issue...
