NBHA Canada News
Hello everyone!! Christmas is fast approaching, and then we will be in countdown to spring and show season. I can hardly
wait...now we need to start praying for a green winter and lots of riding for everyone.
First off, congratulations to everyone who went to NBHA World Champi- onships and made some great runs. I will post that later on in the newsletter. I want to let everyone know that Amy Fotheringham, our district 1 director and I attended the directors meeting at the Worlds. What we brought back were some good ideas, and some new rules. Starting immediately, you have to attend three shows to go to Finals. Each day of a 2 day weekend show counts as one show. These rules are now implemented throughout the NBHA here, the US, or even worldwide.
NBHA Canada is having a booth for the new CanAm All Breeds Emporium, being held this year near Orangeville Ontario. This year’s show will be held March 28-31 at the new Orangeville Event Centre, 47090 5 Sideroad, Mono, Orangeville. The website is
www.canamequine.ca and already they have booked many great shows, clinicians and vendors. You can stop by our booth, get a list of up to date shows, pay your membership if its due, and get in on a free draw or two! There will be more information on this as it becomes available. Our NBHA International team this year consisted of Glenn Sutherland, Jeff Damphouse and Amy Fotheringham. Unfortunately at the last minute the powers that be, could only have two riders from each team compete, so Amy stepped aside. Big thanks to her, and a reminder, “you owe me one for next year!!!” Jeff and Glenn rode their horses to the best they could without the use of whips and spurs, and with an even playing field our riders were runner ups this year. Fabu- lous guys! Thanks for the entertaining runs.

also like to congratulate Tyler Aitken on his win in the youth at the All American Quarter Horse Congress. Congrats also to Joanne Fisher on winning the Polebending Sweepstakes at the Congress. We had many of our members down at the show in Ohio competing. You can find the com- plete results listed on their website.
