Legendary Festivities, Cowboys, Broncs and Bulls Return to the Western Fair District
There’s one thing that the recently re- branded Western Fair District is known for: big events in grand scale in grandeur style. New Year’s Eve at the District follows that mantra and will offer many options for family and fes- tive go’ers: Yuk Yuk’s Dinner and Show, OLG Slots, New Years in the Carousel Room, New Years at the Top of the Fair, a Family Skate… and back by popular demand: BUCKIN’ IN THE NEW YEAR Extreme Rodeo presented by Rawhide Rodeo Company and brought to you by 102.3 Bob FM.
Produced by one of the most decorated rodeo firms in International Professional Rodeo, the Rawhide Rodeo Company of Pontypool,
Ontario and Leicester, New York, the BUCKIN’ IN THE NEW YEAR Extreme Rodeo will show- case some of the biggest match-ups of man vs. beast ever recorded inside the Western Fair Dis- trict Agriplex in London, Ontario. Select Buck- ing Broncs from a roster that has accumulated 9 IPRA World Championships and 1,800-pound Bucking Bulls from a bullpen that has been fea- tured across Canada with the premier Profession- al Bull Riders (PBR) Canada series, will be pit- ted against IPRA World Champions, Provincial and State Champions along with rookie sensa- tions from 4 different countries in an 8-second battle for supremacy. The program will include Bareback Bronc Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding and Bull Riding along with a star-studded line- up of specialty acts and entertainment woven through the spectacle’s presentation. NEW in 2012: a Family-focused Matinee Rodeo has been added from 2:00pm-4:30pm Monday December 31st, 2012.
Immediately following the evening perfor- mance, the after-party will kick into full gear as the NYE Party’ers join the Cowboys and Cow- girls in celebration and embark on the traditional NYE Countdown inside the Western Fair District Agriplex. Country-Rocker Shelly Rastin and her band will have everyone stomping and dancing into early 2013 as the consistently Top 20-rated Canadian Country female artist performs her sin- gles “Born in a Barn”, “Be True To You”, “Country Mile”, “Confused”, and the song fea- tured on MTV’s Rock Band, “High Class Trailer Trash” and many party favourites.
