SKILLS GAP

INDUSTRY SKILLS GAP INITIATIVE

We continue in this edition in a similar vein to the last in that we will be featuring...

1 A general editorial section from leaders in the industry who have a concern or story to tell – an ‘opinion piece’ would be an accurate description. We are fortunate that we live in an environment where we can exercise our right of free speech

2 Our next specific target area of 6 Form Schools and Further Education Colleges

We start with contributions from RenewableUK (RUK) and the Renewable Training Network very much leaders in the industry’s skills agenda.

Within our general opinion piece area in the last edition we published some mis- information. We will endeavour to ensure that the correct information is published wherever possible.

We do however reserve the right to allow people to air their grievances in a professional way so that attention is drawn to a particular subject area. Our policy of ‘if the subject area is in the best interests of the industry as a whole and/ or helps the industry communicate we will endeavour to publish’

As you will see in the following articles from both RUK and RTN a vast amount has been planned and achieved already and it is astonishing that this amount of work has been achieved in an exceptionally short period of time.

We will do our part to help and as has been published in both our magazine and website we are here to serve the industry and help it be successful.

It is particularly refreshing to read that RTN has stated that it serves the needs of the industry as a whole and not just members of RUK.
