Delegates can expect the best of Irish hospitality at the EPA Congress

SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES AT EPA CONGRESS IN DUBLIN

Parking & Urban Mobility is the theme of the European Parking Association (EPA) 16th biennial Congress. This year it will be held under the auspices of the Irish Parking Association (IPA) in Dublin’s award-winning Convention Centre from 11-13 September. With more than 450 delegates expected, and great emphasis being placed on delegate participation and networking, the event is billed as: ‘A unique opportunity to network with like-minded parking professionals from all over Europe and beyond, who are committed to delivering high quality parking and mobility solutions’. There are also major opportunities for organisations to be associated with this prestigious international event as special partners. A range of sponsorship options are designed to offer sponsors an integrated marketing programme for consistent, high visibility exposure. To reach interested leaders and decision- makers within the European parking profession, sponsoring firms can either choose from a set of packages – platinum, gold or silver – or other partnership opportunities that can be individually tailored for their needs. In a concerted campaign to meet the financial realities and flexible needs of both congress and sponsors, a scientific and technical committee is currently preparing ‘a dynamic programme, with recognised experts and international speakers’. At the heart of congress, a trade industrial and technical exhibition will showcase ‘the very best that the European parking profession has to offer’. As exhibition stands are being allocated on a first-come-first- served basis, early booking is advised. An up-to-date map of available stands can be checked on the congress website www. epacongress.eu and requests made on the exhibition stand request form. An exciting social programme, with a uniquely Irish flavour, is also being developed to balance the work of congress with the delights of Dublin, its cuisine, culture and

beautiful surrounding countryside. In addition to the arrival tour, the opening ceremony, the welcome reception, and the gala dinner and dance, a number of guided tours are offered as optional extras. ‘This promises to be a very exciting event, with a uniquely Irish flavour to the format, and delegates will enjoy the very best of Irish hospitality’, says IPA secretary Liam Keilthy. A full-day ‘Garden of Ireland’ tour heads south of County Dublin into County Wicklow, home to many beautifully designed period houses, gardens and traditional Irish scenery.

A second classic tour explores ‘Dublin’s

fair city’: St Patrick’s Cathedral, dating from 1220, stands adjacent to the famous well where tradition has it that St Patrick baptised converts on his visit to Dublin. The tour will also take in the Old Jameson Distillery, which was once a barley storehouse and the centre of distilling in the heart of Old Dublin, it was renovated in 1998 and converted into a museum where all the secrets of Irish Whiskey’s distillation are revealed.

A third tour is also planned. For updates on this and other conference information, visit www.epacongress.eu or email epa2013@parkingireland.ie
