LOGLINE
Sticks and stones can break your bones, but words will come back and haunt you. When a murder occurs
in small town Quoddy, Jared realizes that events in his youth might lead him to discover the truth and that
sometimes silence isn’t always the best policy.
BIO
Originally from Colorado Springs, Jeff Warden has recently produced and directed elements of the 2008
Janet Jackson Rock Witchu Tour where he worked with superstar talent Dave Navarro, rapper Q-Tip, and Ms.
Janet Jackson herself. He was awarded the Motion Picture Association of America Award for Excellence in
Directing, The Dorothy Arzner Award in Directing, and The Edie and Lew Wasserman Fellowship in Production.
He also received support for two of his fi lms from The Carl David Memorial Fellowship. His short fi lm,
Secrets, won
the prize for Best Short at the Hollywood HD fi lm festival, and was picked up and later distributed by Picture
This! Entertainment. His latest short fi lm, JACK n JILL, has been acquired by MTV fi lms and is slated to air in
early 2009.
Since moving to Los Angeles, Warden has worked closely with Academy Award winning actor Morgan
Freeman and his production company, Revelations Entertainment. Warden has also worked with Mandate
Pictures on such fi lms as Juno and The Messengers, directed by Hong Kong based directors, Oxide Pang
Chun and Danny Pang.
Warden received his MFA in directing at UCLA’s School of Theater, Film & TV. He is currently producing a web
series for Nikon with Carson Kressley and Ashton Kutcher. He is also developing four feature fi lms with hopes
to begin shooting his fi rst in the fall of 2009 under his Lonely Tree Productions label.
