LOGLINE
At a prep school in Fairbanks, Alaska, a half Yup’ik girl navigates her way through her fi rst heartbreak by
rediscovering the spirit of the World Eskimo Indian Olympics.
BIO
A Hong Kong native by way of England, Melissa Lee is an independent producer based in Los Angeles. She
is currently in post-production on Dear Lemon Lima, a narrative feature by writer/director Suzi Yoonessi,
which premiered at the 2009 Los Angeles Film Festival.
Lee’s foray into a career in fi lm began with an MFA from USC’s Peter Stark Producing Program, where she
produced a range of award-winning content, including commercials, webisodes, and short fi lms. Prior to fi lm
school, she worked in investment banking with Morgan Stanley as part of their Mergers & Acquisitions Group
in Los Angeles and Hong Kong. Since graduating from USC, Lee was selected as a participant in the 2007
Sundance Independent Producers Conference and is currently in development on several feature projects
with emerging fi lmmakers.
Lee graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Literature from Harvard University.
