When Michael Vitucci, MS, DVM, purchased a NewTom 5G Vet Cone Beam CT for his practice, he grew increasingly impressed with its capabilities. And then, he started showing others how they could make the most of it.

It seems especially fi tting, then, that Vitucci’s practice is located in the Show Me State – in the St. Louis suburb of Manchester, Missouri.

Much of Vitucci’s work is orthopedic and surgery-related, and over time he started to feel like his diagnostic tools weren’t allowing him to catch everything. “I knew I needed some advanced imaging modality to augment what I do, and after being exposed to the NewTom, I felt strongly that it would improve my quality of medicine,” he said. “I wasn’t looking for CT at the time, but after doing some research, I knew this was an aff ordable modality I could use and rely on.”

As a cone beam CT, the NewTom 5G Vet does one complete revolution around the patient – in as little as 18 seconds – capturing individual X-ray slices along the way. The result is a 360-degree, 3D image that encapsulates a wealth of imagery and information for diagnosis.
