The combination of high quality and high technology blends with the overall design. It speaks to quality over quantity, communicating to his clients that Lopez can take the time to not just tell them about the health of their pet, but to show them as well.
“He treats his customers like they’re family,” says Deters. His office reflects his relationship with patients and customers. “His style is complete transparency with clients. The treatment area is right in the middle, so clients go in and out of the exam area. He likes to bring them in, to talk to them about what he’s doing and why he’s doing it. He has a big screen TV with a microscope connected so he can show clients what’s going on. There is nothing hidden. It really puts his clients at ease.” You might call it the ultimate open door policy.
Lopez is first to admit his style is not easy to define. “I have worked in different countries and regions of the world, from being in management to being an emergency room vet, working in colleges to being a practice owner.” Lopez also has volunteered for the Humane Society of Naples and other rescue groups.
The new clinic is unconventional and has the flair of a modern city like New York or Miami. “There are vets in town who have had practices many years. I felt we wanted to do something different than that,” said Lopez.
“Whether you were born here or came from somewhere else, the dreams are all the same. To create your own style into a practice – to be able to practice medicine with love – it’s everyone’s desire to do a great job and be in the profession for years. So everyone should have something created with his own style. It’s the ultimate goal.”
The reviews are in “Clients are really pleased with what we do. We have come to the conclusion that this is working for us,” said Lopez in what might be the understatement of the year. Compare it to effusive reviews from clients: “I wish the healthcare experience for humans was this good.” “The facility is extremely clean and well appointed.
