RONDA PURVINES, OWNER OF THE MERLE NORMAN FRANCHISE IN GUYMON, IN HER STORE. TCEC MEMBERS RECEIVE A FREE GIFT WITH A PURCHASE OF $25 OR MORE WHEN THEY SHOW THEIR CARD.

Co-op Connections Merle Norman

T

CEC members can shop local and enjoy a free gift with a purchase of $25 or more when they show their Co-op Connections card at Merle Norman on Main Street in Guymon.

Merle Norman is a family-owned business that was founded in the 1920s. Ronda Purvines has owned and operated the Merle Norman franchise in Guymon for 17 years. She noted that Merle Norman cosmetics are made in America, with many of the products developed and shipped from the company headquarters in Los Angeles, California.

Te ‘try before you buy’ concept and the ‘before and after makeover’ originated with Merle Norman, according to its website.

Purvines’ store carries cosmetics and skin care products as well as a variety of other items designed for the working woman. Shoes, clothing, jewelry, accessories and handbags are all on display in the store.

She recommends anyone interested in a makeover call ahead for an appointment to ensure the best experience. Walk-ins are welcome too.

“It’s hard to shop for cosmetics and skin care on your own,” Purvines said. “We help those customers individually. People shopping for shoes or clothing may want

to browse on their own. Regardless of what they’re shopping for, we try to make all our customers feel at home here.”

Some of the product lines Purvines carries in addition to cosmetics are:

n Brighton brand jewelry, charms, handbags and accessories

n Mariana: Spirit of Design jewelry Handmade crystal and fabric beads combined with Swarovski crystals

n Clarks, Skechers and several other brands of shoes for working women

Receive a free gift with your purchase of $25 or more.
