From shotguns to airguns, SMK gets its man! E
ssex-based Sportsmarketing has appointed Nick Taylor as its new sales representative. Nick joins the company from the well known GMK, and Sportsmarketing, or SMK as it’s more commonly known, is confi dent that Nick can confi rm and reinstate the values that it holds so dear to its original and new customers. Luke Nash, managing director of SMK, told T&G: “It is fair to say that some of the trade might have felt uneasy or unsure of the future of our industry with the erratic UK news stories of today, including the much discussed Brexit issues. “SMK can assure you it is pretty much a case of business as usual and we hope the trade are happy to now see a face of SMK as well as a voice on the telephone.” Nick Taylor said: “I have enjoyed my time with GMK over the past, almost 13 years. They have helped form me into the confi dent and hopefully ‘friendly’ sales person I am today, providing the tools and support for working effectively within this industry - and I thank them thoroughly for that.
“I am now feeling invigorated, and excited for the fresh challenge ahead as UK sales representative and to be working for SMK, the leading airgun distributor within the trade. I’m looking forward to meeting customers, old and new! “I will have a boot full of exciting products for you to look at and a bunch of offers exclusively for me to promote!” Luke cheerfully added: “Nick joins us from GMK, the leading importer and distributor of rifl es and shotguns in Britain… and now he works for SMK, the leading importer and distributor of air rifl es, air pistols, air soft products, ammunition and accessories, two very different companies just one letter difference in their name – I hope Nick remembers who he’s working for now!” Nick will be covering most of the UK and will hope to get round to see clients over a 8 to 10 week cycle.
