PRODUCT FEATURE MAP TKS 1001 Margin Pole
The 16-metre TKS1001 really caught people’s imaginations when it launched last year, namely thanks to its claim to ne the slimmest long pole on the market. Sales of that model have been strong (for a fl agship model) so the MAP team have decided – helped along by a bunch of consumer pressure – to release this 10.2 metre power pole that is full interchangeable. Again, slim diameter is a big draw – it’s 45mm at the butt – and users of the longer 16-metre model can fi t their parallel butts up the back of it to fi sh it longer.
MAP M600 Margin
A standalone six-metre model, the M600 is a pure big-fi sh tool that will carry an RRP of £99.99. Not compatible with the other TKS mandrels (but will fi t all TKS top kits) it’s there for anglers who want something for hit and hold technique or maybe even a bit of pole-to-hand fi shing.
MAP QRS Reversible Pole Support
A much called-for addition to the QRS range, this rigid support bar has a rotating padded bar that has cut-outs on one side and a smooth side that will be perfect for river anglers inching a fl oat downstream. The arm uses the trusted QRS bracket that accepts 25mm, 30mm and 36mm inserts (supplied) so it’ll fi t on virtually any round leg seatbox.
Wychwood Comforter Bedchair Cover Water resistant – check. Breathable – check. Warm,
hollowfi bre fi lling – check. This fl eece-lined cover is part of the wider Comforter range that’s launching at iceTackle* 2020 and it looks to be a welcome addition to the brand’s portfolio. Price is looking to be around £55 RRP and for anglers who want to ‘enhance’ their bag for cold conditions rather than buy into a much more expensive sleep system, this could be just the ticket.
Concept GT Carp Series Rods
Four new rods bolster the Concept GT range, aimed at the entry-level market. There’s an 11ft waggler plus 9ft, 10ft and 11ft feeder models that all sports through action blanks for targeting fi sh on commercials. The standard of fi nish on the Concept GT range is always impressive and for under £50 they represent a big step up from the real bargain basement stuff that are often billed as ‘beginner rods.
