A bu Garcia has
developed an exciting new range of soft baits to compliment the highly successful Beast predator category. Pure Fishing has some exciting launches in Spring and Autumn 2020, which should make the company one of the leading contenders in the European bait market. The brief was to create some unique looking softbaits all with the same instantly recognizable face and look, but for different applications. Large ones for pike, smaller ones for zander and perch. The smaller Beast Perch and Beast Zander shads have a quick moving tail action, that has proven to be really successful for these target fi sh. The model also has quite a high profi le in the water and that’s not something you see very often on a ‘high frequency’ vibrating softbait. When it comes to the pike sizes the brand has made the high frequency paddletail (Beast Pike shad 16cm), and also bigger size softbaits in the three most deadly styles. A single curltail for when the fi shing needs to be dead slow, a big paddle tail that can be fi shed weightless (shallow screw), super shallow, but also on heavy weighted
jigs over deeper water – so versatile! The twintail is a classic and proven action bait that can really trigger bites when nothing else can. The colours stay true to the Abu Garcia Nordic look and feel. The most successful colour patterns that have proven themselves in the past have all been applied to this range. Some colours have UV reactive fi ns, which is crucial in low light conditions. All of the baits have spray painted eyes, a key trigger point for predators, that will stay on catch after catch. These baits are accompanied with a range of accessories that compliment the lures perfectly; stingers, magnets, rattle chamber, insta-spinnerbait. These Beast accessories form a deadly and complete package for the predator angler. Simon Torenbeek, product manager for Abu Garcia baits, told us: “You have to see them in action underwater to understand how well they swim and attract predators from a distance…. Ask Freddy Harbort who recently caught a 130cm Pike on one of the lures!” The Beast range will have a full marketing campaign covering print, social media, and an instore consumer campaign which we are sure will generate huge consumer demand across the whole of Europe.
