MARKET REPORT COMPACT PLANT continued

New Era’s success in a Box

Since launching its FuelBox at this year’s Executive Hire Show, New Era Fuels has steadily been appointing hirers as stockists of the product, which provides 20 litres of red diesel in a convenient re-sealable container. An additive also extends life to two years and gives cleaner combustion. “It can be very difficult for users to find a source of red diesel and a clean container to carry it in, so the FuelBox was

designed as a

solution,” Sales Director James Hunt told EHN.

“All air is sucked out of the inner bag

to avoid contamination, and this also makes it easy to pour without ‘glugging’. “Hirers can offer the product along with machines,

from compact plant to welfare cabins, and customers know who to come to when they need more fuel. Hirers also have peace of mind that the diesel being used is clean. Companies stocking the FuelBox include nationals such as A-Plant, Brandon, GAP, Hirebase, Travis Perkins and Speedy, as well as independents like Artisan, Alide, Bison Plant, Toga, Rocket Rentals, Miles, Coppard Plant and GT Access, and we are adding more all the time.”

Blade Machinery is introducing the re-designed Fratelli Camisa TP580 tracked dumper, complementing the larger TP680. It has a maximum payload capacity of 800kg, and can lift and tip 600kg to a height of 1.4m, enabling it to discharge into skips and small commercial vehicles without the need to use ramps. The machine’s overall width is 70cm, enabling it to manoeuvre through

narrow openings, and when the machine is at its full lift height, the arm configuration is designed to place the dumper body over the vertical position, making it easier for the operator to clean the corners of any soil or clay build-up. Power is supplied by a Honda petrol engine, and the hydrostatic transmission system is operated by a single joystick control lever.

High-tip, forward tip and swivel skip models are offered, with engine outputs from 15.5kW-90kW, and both synchro-shuttle and hydrostatic transmissions are available.
