MARKET REPORT SITE WELFARE continued
The RedBox incorporates a Hatz 1B-40 diesel engine, a MeccAlte alternator and DeepSea controls, and has extended service intervals of 1,000 hours.
“We regard the Bourne factory as a facility that can be used for the development of many different products, both for Boss Cabins and Heimdall,” said Graham Stansfield. “We are able to produce bespoke models, and we are taking on more CAD/CAM design staff. Our sophisticated modelling software enables full 3D drawings to be created, greatly speeding the design and manufacturing process. There are also synergies with Boss Plant Sales, which acts as a distributor for Boss Cabins, and is in contact with the same kind of customers.
“Certainly, more and more hirers are seeing the benefits of adding mobile welfare products alongside their equipment fleets for construction site customers, and many are now targeting this market because they have previously had to re-hire them to meet demand. We are currently developing additional new products, and the on-going importance of Health & Safety regulations means that the market should remain strong for the foreseeable future.”
