Synapsys

Synapsys Solutions has launched the SIPslice M-Bus Level Converter, which provides an easy interface between third party M-Bus meters and any compatible M-Bus master for data collection and processing.

Easy to use and cost eff ective, the SIPslice M-Bus Level Converter provides a link between

M-Bus devices such as energy, electricity, gas and water meters and compatible M-Bus masters, such as the SIPe M-Bus M-Logger, SIP M-Bus Trend interface or other integration technologies. It is designed for receiving and transmitting data from multiple 1.5mA meter loads using the M-Bus protocol Its small footprint and connection capacity for 3-250 M-Bus slave devices ensures it helps to meet the demand for better energy control. It supports M-Bus communications via RS232 and RS485 in applications where there is a need for data transfer over longer distances.

Testo

Measurement technology expert Testo has launched four new thermal cameras - the testo 865, testo 868, testo 871 and testo 872 - for the UK market. A thermal imaging camera is a valuable addition to a contractor’s toolkit but these cameras have traditionally been very expensive. Testo says its new range of cameras provides “fantastic performance at an aff ordable price”, starting from £799.

With a screen resolution of 160 x 120 pixels rising to 320 x 240 pixels in the testo 872, together with thermal sensitivity from 0.12 to 0.06°C, precise detail can be seen over a wide area. Low spec thermal images often provide unclear images, which don’t uncover the real issues. With Testo ‘SuperResolution’ technology included as standard, this can even be further increased to 640 x 480 pixels.

Siemens

The OpenAir range from Siemens Building Technologies is a comprehensive portfolio of energy effi cient, reliable and fl exible damper actuators tailored to suit individual requirements. Boasting rapid installation and extra-long service life, the established range of damper

actuators off er torque ratings from 2Nm to 35Nm, combining high positioning forces with low consumption motors. An eff ective building automation system requires fast and accurate response times in order to guarantee a comfortable environment. The high performance OpenAir range can be relied upon to deliver. The range guarantees a best-fi t solution, simplifying the installation process and ensuring maximum safety. Self-centering shaft adaptors help to keep installation outlay to a minimum and eradicate the risk of mounting errors. Reducing outlay and increasing convenience, networked OpenAir Variable Air Volume (VAV) controllers feature standardised and open communications protocols, allowing for installation in all systems, regardless of manufacturer. OpenAir damper actuators also off er exceptionally quiet operation and reliability.
