ACR NEWS AWARDS
Quick Pick paves the way
Hawco, one of the UK’s leading suppliers to both refrigeration OEMs and distributor of HVACR equipment both domestically and increasingly internationally, is proud to sponsor the Apprentice of the Year Award at this year’s ACR News Awards.
E
stablished in 1973, Hawco is a specialist supplier of components, service spares and accessory parts for the heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration applications.
With an industry-leading product portfolio, best-in-class customer service and technical support, next- day delivery offer and design-in capabilities, Hawco is certainly a unique business. It has seen recent years of strong growth built around a strong core of key personnel across its Sales & Customer Service teams in Godalming, 25,000sq ft distribution hub in Bolton and expanding UK and Export Field Sales and Technical Support Engineer coverage. It has begun implementing its plan to develop stronger partnerships with independent trade counters nationwide and is continually expanding its product range, including recent additions of leading brands such as Secop, Marstair and SELF Electronics Refrigeration LED lighting offer.
Quick Pick 6 catalogue
Hawco’s full range of products can be seen in its eagerly- awaited upcoming catalogue, the Quick Pick 6. After many months in development, the new catalogue lists hundreds of top quality products from well-known brands that are supplied by Hawco, many available with next-day delivery. With easy-to-access, colour-coded chapters on compressors, condensing units, line components, installation, service equipment and many more, the catalogue provides a quick and easy way to make sure that you can find exactly what you’re looking for, every time. Plus, the Quick Pick 6 features brands such as Embraco, Cubigel, LU-VE and Marstair so you know that your components and spares come from brands that you know and trust.
The same day dispatch and next day delivery services are 20 March 2017
a bonus, with Hawco aiming to get ‘the right parts to you, when and where you need them.’
But Hawco offers much more than what’s listed in the 156-page catalogue alone. It stocks and has access to over 35,000 parts and so its customer service and technical support teams can help you find like-for-like and compatible parts, whatever requirements you have.
Partnering with independent trade counters Last year, Hawco bolstered its business through increasingly close alliances with independently owned trade counters. “One of our challenges historically has been competing with the UK’s network of national trade counters in its ability to provide over the counter access to parts. Whilst we offer a comprehensive same day despatch and next day delivery service from our Bolton hub, we understand the importance of first time fix for contractors and the challenges of van stock coverage. Through our emerging partnership with a nationwide network of Independently owned trade counters we can offer Customers same day access to our market leading service spares brands with a touch of excellent local Customer service support” - Chris Hodges, sales director Hawco.
These partnerships have allowed smaller trade counters to extend their product range to include big brands such as: Advanced Engineering, Alco Controls, Aspen Pumps, CAREL, Daikin, Eliwell, Embraco, Hitachi, LAE Electronic, LG, Marstair and Pump House. This business agreement benefits customers providing greater national parts access and choice, helps Independent trade counter owners in growing their businesses, as well as adding a new dimension to the Hawco offer that is a win-win for all involved.
Major new product lines
