COOLERS AND CONDENSERS

pressure switch can also be used in lieu of ambient. An intermittent adiabatic cooling operation not only saves energy but also the water consumption of the system can be reduced considerably.

Software of the controller follows the ambient

profi le and adjust the spray durations and frequencies to match the ambient conditions in order to enhance the adiabatic cooling eff ect and reduce the water consumption.

The energy saving for any adiabatic air inlet cooling is self evident due to lower condensing pressure but it is also important to minimise the water consumption

Applications;

Any make or model of air-cooled chillers, whether a new project or retrofi t application can be easily converted to a wet system by means of either factory add-on or site modifi cation.

The same adiabatic cooling benefi t can be provided for water cooled chiller with dry cooler or air cooled refrigeration condensers which can be either horizontal, vertical, “V” or “W” confi guration for both new and retrofi t applications.

Unitary products such as rooftop and mini-Split units rely on dry bulb only. If the unit is converted from dry bulb to wet bulb ambient operation condition by simple adding evaporative pre-cooler kit for the condenser, the output of the unit can be increased as much as 40%.

Multiple units can be controlled from a single controller for a cost eff ective and easy to set-up site installation for both new and retrofi t applications as illustrated.

Considering the large number of existing air-cooled refrigeration and air conditioning machinery around the World, as well as the

possibility of new units as factory fi tted option, this mesh concept off ers signifi cant opportunities to reduce peak electricity consumption related to the cooling applications by simply using city main water.

Every country around the world is trying to reduce its CO2

generation and this mesh evaporative air cooling concept can be considered as a useful tool to reduce CO2

applications.

Finally, most the sites using adiabatic air inlet cooling have been in operation for the last 15 years without major operational, maintenance, health, and safety problems and therefore any adiabatic air inlet cooling concept can be consider as safe, reliable and economical solution towards easing some of our current environmental concerns for the refrigeration and air conditioning applications.
