This year’s Annual Meeting features several new and exciting educational opportunities, such as:


• Contemporary Furcation Management session (CE9). Learn about the treatment of inflammatory periodontal diseases. A slate of speakers will discuss the challenges of treating furcations as well as how to assess successes and failures. See page 49 for more information.


• Sedation Hands-On Workshop: Managing Sedation Complications Part 2 (HW1). Reinforce your sedation skills and fulfill CE requirements by attending the sedation Hands-On Workshop. This ticketed workshop will place particular emphasis on patient monitoring and airway management. See page 32 for more information.


• Imaging and Emerging Technologies: Virtual Implant Surgery: The Next Frontier (FCE19). Recently, there have been several technological improvements for surgery adapted from medical technology that have been added to sophisticated planning tools. This presentation will provide an overview for these technologies including case reports. See page 58 for more information.


• Results of the Round Tables: Best Evidence Consensus for CBCT and Lasers (FCE11). Join a lively discussion and learn about the findings from the AAP’s 2017 Best Evidence Consensus (BEC) conferences on the use of CBCT and lasers within periodontal practice. See page 53 for more information.

Best-Selling Author to Keynote at Opening General Session


On Sunday, Sept. 10, kickoff the Annual Meeting with the Opening General Session featuring a presentation titled, On the Edge: The Art of High-Impact Leadership delivered by keynote speaker Alison Levine. Levine led life-changing exhibitions to Mount Everest in 2002 and 2010. Learn more on pages 41 and 42.
