BioHorizons Tips for Success in Soft Tissue Grafting with the Tunnel Technique
Edward P. Allen, DDS, PhD
Soft tissue grafting has evolved from effective but invasive techniques to current minimally invasive, patient-friendly procedures. Now, palatal donor tissue and vertical incisions are no longer necessary for root coverage grafting, resulting in not only a better postoperative course, but also greater root coverage and better esthetics. This lecture will present tips to increase your success when using the tunnel technique.

Immediate Implant Placement and Provisionalization in the Esthetic Zone – Mastering the Esthetic Parameters
Joseph Kan, DDS, MS
Immediate implant placement has become a viable treatment option for replacing failing maxillary anterior teeth. In this session Dr. Kan will explain why he believes immediate protocols should be the treatment of choice and why, as well as how, the products and protocols can affect the final result. He will also look at how scientific data plays a role in the decision-making process for such treatments. Dr. Kan will share his own personal experiences on how to avoid pitfalls and ensure esthetic outcomes in the long term. Guiding principles for provisional restorations will be described, as will the possibilities that open up when using angulated screw channel (ASC) restorations in the anterior.
OsseoFuse
Full Mouth Implant Reconstruction Using the 5-in-1 Technique. Where to Place Our First Implant?
Leon Chen, DMD, MS
The 5-in-1 technique includes extraction, hydraulic sinus condensing (HSC), bone graft, implant, and a provisional cross arch, stabilization immediate load. This technique, coupled with a newly designed implant, has been successfully demonstrated at my clinical practices for more than 10 years. I will be introducing this straightforward, 5-in-1 full-arch technique, from the initial implant location, including angulation and positions. Then, last but not least, we are going to introduce our newly designed zirconia implant, from single placement to a full arch, the OsseoFuse zirconia implant system “element 40.”
