a plant breeder, he bred 4 varieties of tomatoes together and came up with this large, pink-skinned, tasty and meaty tomato. He sold 1,000 plants of this tomato for $1 each and was able to pay off the mortgage with the proceeds. Fruits average 2 lbs. and have very few seeds.
