SUMMER SQUASH CULTURE


After the late spring frost, plant thinly, ½" deep, in rows 36-48" apart. Allow 2 weeks for germination. Thin to 18-24" apart. An earlier crop can be obtained by starting 3-5 seeds in a Jiffy®


in early May and planting them outside in early June. Packets contain 25 seeds unless otherwise stated.


Baby Boom Hybrid


60-70 Day. Zucchini. Plentiful, miniature, dark green squashes are produced on compact, low-growing bushes. Pick fruits when they are 3-4" long for cute, personal sized fruits that are perfect for dipping or in salads. Let fruits mature to full size for use in breads, stir-fries and more! Either way the flavor and tenderness is outstanding. You’ll appreciate the sheer volume of this vigorous, squash-pro- ducing machine!

45-50 Day. Pattypan/Scallop. A mixture of ‘Pattypan’ type summer squash that includes dark green, pale green, white, pale yellow, bright yellow and even striped pie-shaped fruits.
