RUNNER BEAN CULTURE
Runner beans are grown just as much, if not more, for their ornamen- tal value as they are for eating. They tolerate cool, partially shaded conditions better than other beans, and make beautiful vertical accent plants in the garden or landscape. Be sure to provide proper support, such as our Pole Bean Tower, which can be found on page 3. Packets contain 1 ounce.

65-75 Day. Runner. Attract hummingbirds to your yard with this white flower- ing runner bean. Te flat pods are 9-11" long and are semi stringless. Can be used for freezing or fresh when the pods are young. Vines will need a structure to climb on such as a trellis or a bean tower.

100 Day. Runner. A unique heirloom runner bean that acts as a pollinator mag- net. It has beautiful, edible, bi-colored red and white blossoms that make an es- pecially nice garnish and a sweet beany flavor. Green pods are fine-flavored when young and good for freezing. For a continuous supply of fresh shelling beans, plant once a week. Soybeans require warm soil (at least 60°F) to germinate properly. Pro- vide well-drained, rich soil and plenty of moisture, particularly at the time of bean development. Plant 6 seeds per foot, 1½" deep, in rows 14-24" apart. Keep well weeded. Packets contain 2 ounces.
