LETTUCE CULTURE
As soon as the soil can be worked, sow seed 1" apart, 1/8" deep, in rows 18" apart. Allow one week for germination. Thin to 6-12" apart. Lettuce does best in cool weather, and can be started inside 4-5 weeks before transplanting outdoors. Packets contain 1000 seeds unless otherwise stated.
