Plant corn in rows - at least 4 rows side by side for each variety to get full pollination. Plant rows 2½-3' apart, spacing the seeds 4-6" apart; thin early varieties to 10-12" apart; later varieties 15-18" apart. Our seed is untreated, so be sure the soil has warmed up before planting to ensure good germination. Get a quicker start by boosting the moisture content of the seeds just before they are planted. Soak seeds in distilled water at 77°F for 16 hours, then dry at room temperature for 8 hours before plant- ing. This results in earlier and better uniformity of emergence. A packet plants approximately 50-70' of row. (A) packets contain 150 seeds.
