ASPARAGUS CULTURE
Spread the asparagus roots out in a trench about 8-10" deep. Cover the root with an inch or two of soil and let the shoots grow until they are above ground level. As the shoots grow, gradually fill in the trench until it is com- pletely filled, avoiding covering the new shoot. Water and fertilize the new plants to encourage growth. Do not cut the shoots for eating until they are at least the diameter of your little finger. Available March 1 and will be shipped at the proper planting time for your area.
