Stopper Specialists appoints new General Manager
Leading construction services supplier Groundforce has appointed one of their former graduates to the post of general manager for their Stopper Specialist business.
SamWoodcock joined Groundforce in 2016 as part of the company’s graduate recruitment programmewhere heworked in a rotating role across various departments including sales, operations, hire desk, finance, international, technical and assetmanagement teams.
In 2018, Samwas promoted to Groundforce operationsmanager for Scotland and the north
east.Managing sites across Scotland and the north east of England hewas responsible for all operational personnel, regional profit and loss account ownership, cost budgets, and safe delivery of equipment and services to construction projects throughout the region.
In his newrole as generalmanager for Stopper
Specialists, his remitwill include overhauling all operational processes to further increase quality of service, take a leading role in new product development, increasemarket share, andmaintain business stabilitywithin the challenges of a COVD-impactedmarket.
He said of his appointment: “I’mexcited to take on this opportunitywithin a key business of Groundforce. Stopper Specialists is entering a periodwhichwill see itmaintain itsmarket- leading position and strengthen it in key areas such as pressure testing,with the release of our internally developed PressureTest+mobile application.We have already begun tomake great strides in the initialmonths and I look forward to continuing toworkwith our great team.”

Naylor win Queen’s award for Enterprise
Pipemanufacturer Naylor Clayware has been honouredwith a prestigiousQueen’s Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category for its high-performance products which are used in demanding applications around theworld.
