Two new products to combat flooding and puddling
Pump Technology have just introduced two Newproducts that can help drainage engineers and their customerswith flooding and puddling in potential trouble spots such as basements, cellars, backyards, flat roofs,warehouse entrance areas etc.
These are the Floodbox - an emergency self-contained portable flood pumping systemand the Simer - an automatic puddle pump.

The Simer is available in both 110v (YellowCasing) for building sites and 240v (Blue Casing) versions. An optional automatic float level control (240v) means it can be left sitting in a known puddling location guarding against possible flooding and potential damage to property and goods.
Both of these newproducts can potentially save households and business
who have flooding issues fromthemisery of extensive damage to property and goods that unrestricted floodwater can cause.
The Simer puddle pump
easily handleswastewater without the need to place it in a dedicated sump. Simply place the unit in the troublesome puddle and itwill pump right down to Just 2mm.
The FloodBox is a total floodwater pumping solution in a compact plastic crate for easy storage, it has everything required in the event of water ingress into a home or business.
The storage crate, doubles up as a strainer basket to protect the pump fromlarge floating objects such as rags and plastic bags that could block the pumps own strainer, sized for 20mmfree passage.
The pump is capable of high heads - up to 8m- and flows of 11,000 L/hr. It is automatically operated by its own on / off float arm.
The 12.5mlong “fire hose” style discharge hose allows high volumes ofwater (Up to 5 times the rate of a garden hose) to be pumped away fromthe flooded area.
A flood pump that everyone hopeswill never be needed, butwhere there is a potential flood problema small investment in an emergency pumping solution could beworth its valuemany times over.
