“We knowcontractors face significant additional training costs as the UK comes out of lockdown and they need to ensure their operatives have the right City & Guilds AccreditedWater Jetting Association (WJA) Approved qualifications in place quickly.

TheWJTA successfully opened a bespoke training centre on the site of Poole Process Equipment Ltd, in Poole, Dorset, a leading manufacturer of heat exchangers and fin fans, also part of thewider ASL Group, in 2020.
This challenges the orthodox approach toWJA City & Guilds accredited training, which is normally delivered at client sites.
The COVID Recovery offer applies to training undertaken at the Poole academy centre and another on Teesside. TheWJTA can also deliver training on client sites if required at standard rates.
Having a purpose designed and built academy training centre also allows additional courses to be provided. For example, it offers a full range of first aid training, withmore courses planned.
The Covid Recovery package, available for July, August and September 2021, allows contractors to book aWJA Safety Awareness (SA) Course combinedwith a Drain and Sewer (DS)module or a Surface Preparation (SP) module for £149.95 + VAT, a saving of over 70%per trainee.
For £99.95 + VAT, trainees can also be placed on a one-day standaloneWJA Pressure Washing (PW) course or, alternatively, a Drain and Sewer (DS) or Surface Preparation (SP)

The newPoole training academy is designed fromthe bottomup to set the highest possible water jetting training standards and remains an Enhanced Covid Secure facility, with ideal practical training areas and the best equipment.
Infection control and disinfection protocols also exceed government requirements. The academy aims to attract clients that seekmore effective training planning, including mobilising for newcontracts or carry out bespoke training for newworking practices or equipment.
TheWJTA is part of a newtraining and research divisionwithin the ASL Group, which delivers a wide range ofwater jetting services to the utilities, oil and gas and petrochemical industries in Great Britain and overseas.
The company also offers a full suite of training services in theMiddle East under the banner of the academy’s sister company, theWater Jetting Training Centre LLC (WJTC).
