This vocationally-focused course is aimed at music producers who wish to develop their skills to a professional level and gain an in-depth understanding of the music industry. A key feature of this course is its dual focus on technology and creativity.


You will study a wide range of modules, including Acoustics, Recording Techniques, Audio Visual Techniques and Concert Production & Staging.


This course is based in our 800-capacity live music and arts venue, The Factory, which is extremely well resourced with individual workstations for every student and state-of- the-art recording studios.


We work with current model Apple iMacs with industry standard recording and sequencing software, and other sound creation software packages. The main recording studio features a top-of-the-range digital desk, Pro Tools HD recording on iMac and a comprehensive set of quality outboard facilities. There is another Pro Tools suite at the North Devon Campus. Software includes Pro Tools, Logic 9, Reaktor and Final Cut.


Progression


Students who successfully pass their Foundation Degree may be able to progress to Stage 3 of BA (Hons) Music, or BA (Hons) Music Technology at Plymouth University1 must do this within three years.

This course aims to provide employers with a high-quality programme that will attract new talent into project management positions and up-skill the existing workforce to make projects and businesses more productive, efficient and profitable. The FdA Project Management is suitable for various project management roles, including project manager and project co-ordinator.


This foundation degree is designed to produce graduates who have the theoretical underpinning, practical orientation and skillset required for employment in the project management environment.


You will study a wide range of modules, including Project Tools & Techniques, Project Software, Sustainability and Principles of Project Management.


Progression


Successful completion of the course may lead to progression to the BA (Hons) Professional Development (Business & Management) at Petroc or the BSc (Hons) Management Practice, BSc (Hons) International Supply Chain Management, BA (Hons) International Trade and Operations Management at Plymouth University1
