University-Level Course Guide | LTLS and Supporting You

SUPPORTING YOU Financial help

Student loans and grants are available from Student Finance to help with the cost of tuition fees and living expenses. Visit www.direct.gov.uk/studentfinance for more information; there is also a self-assessment calculator to let you know how much you might be entitled to before you apply.

Additional Support

We take our responsibility to provide you with additional support, when needed, very seriously and offer a range of help to meet your needs. You should highlight any medical/ learning needs clearly at the application stage, so we can discuss it at interview and ensure the appropriate support is in place when you begin your course.

Transport

It is possible to purchase a bus pass through the college if you live over three miles from Petroc, although it may be more cost effective to purchase directly from the bus company. Please contact the Guidance Centre Team on 01271 338125 or 01884 235330, who will be able to

discuss the costs with you. Equality and Diversity

At Petroc, we want everyone to feel valued and be treated with respect. We truly believe everyone should be treated fairly and we are committed to eliminating discrimination, harassment and victimisation in any form.

We incorporate equality into our core objectives and promote equal opportunities.

The Equality Act 2010 covers nine protected characteristics, which cannot be used as a reason to treat people unfairly. At Petroc we welcome everyone, regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marital or civil partnership status, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation.
