Are you a manager or aspiring to fill a managerial position? If the answer is yes, then this course is for you.
You will develop core management skills and learn how to apply them effectively in an organisational context. The flexibility of the course makes it ideal for those wanting to study alongside work.
Throughout the course you will study a wide range of modules including Human Resource Management, Marketing, Organisational Behaviour, Business Finance, The Principles of Project Management, Developing your Management Style, and Employee Relations and Conflict Management.
The method of assessment varies between modules, but you can expect it to include coursework essay questions, group reports, small group assessed discussions and formal examinations.
Progression
Upon successful completion, students may be able to progress to the BA (Hons) Business at Plymouth University, either full-time for one year or part-time for two years, or the BA (Hons) Professional Development (Business & Management) at Petroc1

FdSc Computing

Are you Interested in becoming a computer specialist? In this flexible course, you will gain a solid understanding of many aspects of computing and learn how to program, interconnect and configure computers, as well as how to produce applications that look attractive and original as well as being functional.
You will study the following modules: Developing Graduate Skills, Business Enterprise, Programming, Web Design & Development, Systems Analysis, Human Computer Interaction, Data Communications, Network Management, and Project Management with Scrum. A distinctive feature of the course is that it is based on Agile principles - current industry ‘best practice’ project management theory.
You will be assessed in a variety of ways: there are written assignments, in-class tests, examinations, individual and group presentations and research projects.
Progression
On successful completion of the course, students may be able to progress to the third year of the BSc (Hons) Computing at Plymouth University1
