Standard entry requirements apply. A typical offer is 160 UCAS tariff points or A level grades of DD (or DEE), or BTEC equivalent, MM (or MPP). Applicants are expected to have studied Art and Design at A level or other listed entry qualification. For advice on qualifications not in the list of entry qualifications, or if you do not meet the listed entry requirements please contact the Admissions Office. All qualified applicants will be interviewed with a portfolio of work. Advice is given at interview to those who need guidance.
Course summary
The programme is a broadly based, challenging and enriching diagnostic experience aimed at providing you with the motivation and skills necessary to prepare for entry onto a degree or HND course in the field of Art and Design. You will explore a range of media, determine your specialism and build up a portfolio for your higher education application. You will have your own personal studio and exhibition space and work alongside degree students. Access is available to a wide range of specialist facilities and workshops.
