The helpful stuff
Throughout the year we run campaigns and raise awareness of issues that affect students. We campaign on the issues that are important to you within the University, locally and nationally.
We also seek to celebrate the diversity and varied interests of our student community and host a number of events that have previously included:
• National Interfaith Week • LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) History Month • Black History Month • Disability History Month • International Women’s Day • National Student Volunteering Week • Employability Week • RAG (Raising and Giving Week) • Fairtrade Fortnight • National Money Week
We provide academic representation for those times when things go wrong. Whether you have issues with your course, queries about accommodation, problems with friends or flatmates, or are just feeling a little homesick we’re always here for you. Our Student Advice Service, staffed by trained professionals, provides independent, confidential support and advice in a private, friendly, relaxed office based at our Park Campus location.

The University of Northampton Students’ Union offers a wide variety of student-led activity through its diverse array of Societies, all of which are free to join. They currently include:
