Course summary
This specialist pathway allows you to study topics pertinent to physical geography, how the environment has changed over time, reasons for this change and potential implications of future changes. You will examine a number of environments within the UK as well as internationally and may have the opportunity to study in these sites and collect your own primary information. Changes in biodiversity, geomorphology and climate will be analysed for different geographical locations to determine patterns and possible cause and effect interrelationships. We offer an innovative approach to learning that enhances your employability.

This programme will provide enjoyable and challenging training in human geography, focusing upon core skills and concepts and application of these in a range of settings. You will gain an understanding of the basic concepts, skills and methods of geographical enquiry and the application of these to themes, issues and debates in the social, cultural, political, economic and natural environments. The programme offers a dedicated employability module and an optional field trip to Southwest USA.
