Entry requirements
Standard entry requirements apply. A typical offer is 280–300 UCAS tariff points or A level grades of BCC–BBC, or BTEC equivalent, DDM–DMM. Applicants also need an A level in English or a humanities subject or equivalent. We welcome international applications and applications from students with a range of non-traditional educational or professional qualifications with an active interest in the study and practice of journalism.
Course summary
This course is accredited by The Broadcast Journalism Training Council (BJTC). It provides multi-disciplinary training in TV, radio, newspaper, magazine, and online journalism. A professional working environment is simulated in a dedicated newsroom and digitally equipped TV and radio studios. The practical skills are enhanced by professional work placements alongside academic study including law and ethics. You will produce ongoing assignments such as websites, blogs and magazines and showcase your talents in a final project of your choice.
