Jimmy Bricknell and Dean Alexander started Timecode Pro Ltd, a video production company, after meeting while studying at the University of Northampton. Jimmy studied HND Digital Film Making, while Dean studied BA Media Production.
“The teaching standards at the University were good and the staff were patient; without them we would not be doing what we’re doing now. Our courses highlighted the importance of organisation and maintaining good communication skills within a production team. These skills are paramount to each job we do, whether we’re meeting with clients face-to-face or managing the production team to meet tight deadlines.
Our advice for students? Be prepared to work for free for the first part of your career, expect to work late, engage with as many like-minded individuals as you can and exploit the networking opportunities at your fingertips.”
