Course summary
This specialist pathway allows you to focus on the issues that arise from our increasing generation of waste and pollution, the impact of contaminated land, and strategies to address problems associated with wastes include landfill, hazardous wastes management, recycling and wastes management law. There are placement opportunities with a module on career planning in the final year as well as exchange opportunities through the Erasmus programme. This programme is accredited by the Institution of Environmental Sciences and the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management.

Standard entry requirements apply. A typical offer is 280 UCAS tariff points or A level grades of BCC, or BTEC equivalent, DMM. In addition, applicants are expected to have studied a science subject, preferably Biology or Human Biology, but could include Psychology, Sport and Exercise Science, Chemistry or Physics in an A level at grade C or above, or an equivalent qualification.
Course summary
This programme is focused on student development and will equip you with a thorough understanding of the concepts that underpin human biology. You will acquire the valuable laboratory, computational and cognitive skills and abilities for success in a broad range of biological, educational and health-related fields. The course is also ideal if you wish to become a professional research scientist, preparing you to enter the international arena of scientific research at the highest level possible.
