New Electrochemical Additions to Sensor Range Offer Affordable Options for Commercial Gas Sensing
SGX Sensortech are pleased to announce the launch of eight new sensors to complement their range of industrial and commercial gas sensing products. The new products allow instrument manufacturers a greater choice when selecting sensors for carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulphide and oxygen and are available in two industry standard packages; 20mm and 32mm diameter. In addition, SGX are proud to include an innovative combined carbon monoxide and hydrogen sulphide sensor in the same package which provides industry compliant performance in a single miniature housing, saving valuable space in portable instrument designs.
Tony Trocian, International Sales Manager for SGX; “These new products emphasise our commitment to providing choice for our OEM customers and is a further step towards our ultimate goal of becoming the number one option for gas sensors. In many of our markets, the key focus is on gas detector cost of ownership - with proven performance and affordable cost, the new SGX electrochemical sensors go a long way to helping deliver that.”

Portable Gas Detectors for Confi ned Spaces
The Multi Gas Clip Pump (MGC Pump) portable multi-gas detector, from Gas Clip Technologies, is perfect for attendant applications in confi ned space entry. Low-power photometric technology allows the MGC Pump-IR to run a full 5 days without having to recharge the battery and only requires calibration in six month intervals. MGC Pump-IR utilises infrared sensor technology for the detection of combustible gases and electrochemical sensing technology for H2
S, CO and O2 with one button operation.
Gas Clip Technologies will be exhibiting at National Safety Council Congress & Expo, booth 2167, A+A, stand 6/H08 and ADIPEC, booth 7346.

Considerations for Buying a Single Gas Detector Portable single gas
GASTEC TUBES
Super Fast Delivery
a1-cbiss are the Gastec approved master distributor for Gastec Detector Tubes, offering the widest choice of gases at low prices and even same day delivery
detectors are used for personal protection and have the ability to detect a single gas hazard. Typically they are small, lightweight and robust. These devices are generally worn directly on the worker’s clothing or attached to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), close to the worker’s breathing area.
Single gas detectors continuously monitor ambient air. When the gas concentration exceeds a pre-set alarm event on the device, it will alarm (by visual, audible and/or motion). This allows workers to react directly to risks.
a1-cbiss stock a range of single gas detectors designed to meet the various clients’ requirements. Low cost gas detectors are available for those who need basic gas detection up to more advanced, higher cost detectors for those who have strict safety programs.
There are many product attributes to consider when purchasing a single gas detector. Some will be more relevant than others. It all depends on your personal preference or what your application demands. We’ve explained the main attributes which should help you to fi nd the most appropriate single gas detector.
