SENSITRON Srl was founded in 1988 with the mission to becoming an international reference point for industrial toxic and inflammable gas detection. Sensitron has for years been committed with the research and development of flammable and toxic gas detectors: the development of sensors always more and more reliable, the systematic use of microprocessor technology, fulfilment to the European standards and the quality procedures adopted, guarantee one of the best and largest product ranges in the worldwide gas detection market. Sensitron has been amongst the first European manufacturers to get their gas detectors fully ATEX certified for both the ESR and Performance so as to assure the quality and the high features a gas detector has to offer.
Recently we decided to offer an even more enhanced gas detection system designed according to the new standards EN50402 & IEC 61508 part 1 to 7. These new standards open the possibility of approving the functional safety of a complex gas detection system, by evaluating the functional safety of the different modules it consists of, so as to obtain its SIL (Safety Integrity Levels). The GALILEO Multisystem control panels as well as the new hi-tech detectors SMART SMS (SIL Multi Sensor) and SMART SIR (Lisa IR) with NDIR technology, have been designed to fulfil the SIL requirements described in the EN50402 & IEC 61508 part 1 to 7. Sensitron is also aware of a market share where quality products and cost effective prices still represent a major selling key-point: the innovative SMART 3P, especially designed for car park applications, assures the accuracy of a microprocessor based electronics and professional electrochemical cell are offered at extremely competitive prices. Sensitron got UNI EN ISO 9001 certification in February 1997, upgraded as ISO 9001:2000 since December 2002.
