New Radio Provides Licence-Free Datalogger Communications in Europe and Elsewhere


The RF422 is an 868 MHz SRD860 radio, from Campbell Scientifi c (UK), is designed to provide license-free operation for wireless serial communications in Europe. The RF422 transmits data at 10 kbps with a maximum power of 25 mW, and it employs listen-before- talk (LBT) and adaptive-frequency-agility (AFA) to provide a robust link of up to 100 m within buildings and 5 km with full line-of-sight. The RF422 supports point-to-point and point-to- multipoint datalogger communications and PakBus repeater operation.


The RF422 is part of the RF407-series of radios that includes: RF407: North America (FCC & IC), 902 to 928 MHz; RF412: Australia (ACMA RCM), 915 to 928 MHz; RF422: Most of Europe and some of Asia (ETSI), 863 to 873 MHz.

The multi component analyser MCA 14, from Dr. Födisch Umweltmesstechnik AG (Germany) serves the continuous measurement of pollutants in fl ue gas (e.g. CO, CO2 SO2


, N2 , O2 O, NO2 , NH3 , CH4 , HCl, H2 O, , NO) as well as the continuous process control.


The MCA 14 is applicable all-purpose for measurement of emissions, raw gases or processes. As system in regulatory and operational emission measurement
