Leading Global Exhibition for Industrial Valves to be held in Düsseldorf for the Fourth Time
They are made to work everywhere and still vary widely in size and application: fittings that ensure safety in the oil and gas industries, channel fluids through chemical plants, control the supply and drainage of water, gas or highly corrosive media or regulate the correct flow in the beverage industry. The entire spectrum of industrial valves will be covered by Valve World Expo in three exhibition halls from 29 November to 1 December: the ranges encompass valves, valve components and parts, actuator drives and position controllers, compressors, engineering services and software, associations and publishers.
For three days the exhibition halls 3, 4 and 5 will then become the No. 1 international meeting point for the industry, for valve specialists and expert users from many user industries. Users come from the fields of oil, gas and petrochemical industries, chemical industry, food industry, marine and offshore industries, water and waste water management, automotive and mechanical engineering, pharmaceutical industry as well as power plants. At this early point in time over 19,600 square metres of net exhibition space are already occupied. 638 exhibitors from 39 countries have registered. Most European companies come from Italy, Great Britain, Germany, Spain, France, Turkey and the Netherlands. Overseas visitors will mainly come from the USA, India, Taiwan, South Korea and China.
The accompanying technical “VALVE WORLD Conference Düsseldorf 2016” will again be organised by KCI in Hall 4. Alongside topics of the future such as material selection, new technologies and processes for the production and application of valves, new energies and the analysis of new services, an in-depth debate about the structure of the industry will be centre stage here.
Lectures, workshops and seminars deepen the content covered by the Conference. Organisers expect experts from all over the world to exchange with conference delegates on innovations from the dynamically growing area of valve technology including its upstream and downstream technologies.
The Pump Summit, the International Exhibition & Conference for Pump Technology, will take place on the ground floor of Hall 7.0 on 29 and 30 November. Here networkers and pump specialists will come together and the producers, distributors and users of pumps, seals and compressors will present their products and exchange expert knowledge. The Pump Summit will be accompanied by a conference. The agenda features talks and selected workshops on pump and seal applications in a wide variety of industries.

InfraTec GmbH (Germany) renews its appearance and with immediate effect operates with a redesigned logo. In comparison to its predecessor, the new signet has a considerably fresher, more modern and, at the same time, timeless look. “The impression places a stronger emphasis on the technical orientation of the company,” explains Matthias Heinze, Managing Director of the infrared sensor division. “It illustrates our further development since the foundation of the company 25 years ago and perfectly integrates into our anniversary year.”
The new version of the logo renews the ties with the origins of the company and focuses on the characteristic combination of red and black. Thus, customers will continue to recognise InfraTec at first glance. Except for a red square as a stylised dot at the end of the name the design does without any additional elements. “Reduced, clear, straightforward and technically skilled – these are values that differentiate us as a company. This is exactly what the logo with its new design conveys,” continues Matthias Krauß, Managing Director of the infrared measurement division. The stylised dot underlines that often no additional words are required to describe InfraTec and its services. The name alone symbolises innovative developments, reliable products and high-quality service. The previous logo accompanied InfraTec since the foundation of the company in 1991. Its successor was designed in the company-own marketing department and meets today’s standards for the use in both digital and analogue media. The new logo was unveiled in a festive ceremony in the presence of all employees and will gradually supplement the public brand presence.

The new facility shows our strong and on-going commitment to Research and Development which has kept PSA at the forefront of elemental analysis since its inception in 1983. New laboratories, an improved R&D section and a clean-room facility places PSA firmly at the head of the field in providing reliable and sensitive environmental monitoring solutions. Tailoring solutions to specific customer applications within these new laboratories is given a further boost when taken in conjunction with the new production and training capabilities.
With an emphasis on customer support and after-sales service, a new Training Centre has also opened on-site, designed to offer hands on training in the use of P S Analytical instrumentation as well as assistance with methodologies and applications. The training courses for the Millennium Merlin and Sir Galahad instruments are always extremely popular, giving users expert tuition on all aspects of operation, troubleshooting and maintenance. With purpose-built flow-through production areas and new project meeting rooms now available, greater efficiency can be achieved, allowing a greater number of projects to be undertaken simultaneously.
“This marks a new phase in P S Analytical’s development and provides us with the facilities to further expand our product range by our continued investment in research to meet our clients’ needs.” Managing Director, Prof Peter Stockwell.

The OTT Hydromet Group (UK) has announced a new distribution strategy for the Sea-Bird Coastal product range of water quality sensors and monitors. “These instruments fit very well with our range of water monitoring technologies,” says OTT’s European Sales Manager Marcus Meckelmann. “We also share similar customer bases, so the key Sea-Bird Coastal products will be available exclusively through OTT’s European subsidiaries and official distributors.”
The Sea-Bird products covered by this arrangement include the HydroCycle PO4 (formerly Cycle-P) phosphate analyser, the SUNA V2 nitrate sensor, the LOBO turn-key water quality monitoring system, the WQM and WQM-X water quality meters, the HydroCAT long-term deployment water quality sondes and the Hydro-pH deep water (350m) pH sensor.
In addition to the Sea-Bird products, the OTT Hydromet Group also includes leading global brands such as Adcon Telemetry, Hydrolab, Lufft, OTT and Sutron. “Our main focus is the provision of leading-edge, accurate, reliable instrumentation and telemetry systems that deliver vital data for those responsible for monitoring and managing water resources and the impacts of weather,” adds Marcus Meckelmann. “Nutrients represent a major threat to global water resources, so we are particularly excited by the opportunities presented by Sea-Bird’s low power nitrate and phosphate monitoring technologies.”
Sea-Bird’s ocean research products are also available through the OTT Hydromet distribution channels, but on a non- exclusive basis.
