Three months to go until the Broadstone Family Fun Day 2017 on Sunday 2nd July.
It is hard to believe that it is just three months until the annual Broadstone Family Fun Day. Plans are underway to bring you a wonderful range of performers in the arena, and applications are
coming in already for stalls and attractions.
In just a few weeks we will be producing our programme, which will be delivered to every one of the 4,500 homes in Broadstone and there is still time to ensure that your company is included as one of our sponsors.
Please get in touch if you are able to help, or if you are able to supply raffl e prizes to help us raise money. Funds raised from the event will be added to previous years' to improve facilities on Broadstone Recreation Ground. We have lots of exciting ideas, but to really make a difference we need to raise more than ever before.
The event is run every year entirely by volunteers. Planning starts well before Christmas and I am grateful to every one of them for their commitment. However, as usual, we need more volunteers to help us on the day. The main role is as a Marshall – either helping direct traffi c into the site, taking money on the car park, selling raffl e tickets and assisting the core team with the general running of the day. Assistance is also needed at both ends of the day with set up and clearance.
To lighten the load on everyone – and so everyone gets to enjoy the event for a couple of hours with their family – we are looking for people to give us just 1-2 hours of their day. If you are planning to be there anyway, why not donate the time, while the rest of the family enjoys the arena events – or spends your hard-earned cash!
Please grab your diaries and get Sunday 2nd July in your calendar. The event starts at midday and runs until 4.30pm, with things for the whole family. Lets make the Broadstone Family Fun Day great again!
